The things I want to do before 30
I forgot where did I wrote it, probably on a notebook that got thrown away, but here goes:
1) Get a masters degree.
2) Go to Venice.
3) Go to Greece.
4) Own a house.
5) holiday maker in NZ.
6) own a Tiffany.
7) learn driving.
8) para-sailing.
9) watch a concert.
10) be at ease with myself and believe in the decisions I make.
and maybe, I will pay a visit to 乔宏's grave.
- I got the Masters degree, but when I think back, I don't really enjoy that subject. MBA might be a better option, computer science is kinda mind-boggling in a way. I was thinking to become a lecturer, but come to think of it, I can't be a good lecturer if I do not have ample experience at the subject. It irks me to be a spoon feeder in our spoon-feed education system. Kids nowadays, the thinkers get less and less, too many of them having too much of a good thing when they don't even know how to earn it.
- Venice, I don't know why I am fascinated with this city. Perhaps it's the Venetian masks, the intriguing Carnivale, the romance with all the floating gondolas and singing men ushering you down the stream. I have no idea, but I know I would so exclaim "wow" when I arrive there.
- Greece. I read too much Greek myths when I was little, and still fascinated with the richness + complexity of the culture and all the gods and goddesses. I want to see the Pantheon, and kneel upon it. Sometimes, I feel like there's a calling, beckoning me to go to Greece, as if something is waiting for me there.
-I want a house with a vege garden, I can grow some herbs and crops there. A kitchen with all the basic necessities: an oven to bake everything, fridge, table top, knives and utensils of every cooking needs. Of course, it must face the sunlight. And the bathroom, it must have a big bathtub. I want to have bubble bath everyday :)
- just for the sake of satiate my wanderlust.

Which SATC girl am I?
I took the SATC test to find out which girl I resemble the most: Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte or Miranda.
the result isn't quite what I expected, I always thought that I am more Samantha....
Where friendships are concerned you are one of the best friends a girl could ever ask for; sensitive, caring and trustworthy, with a writer's flair for sizing and summing up the situation.
Like Carrie, you have sought out best friends who understand and enjoy your little eccentricities, but who also know when to challenge you when you're making bad decisions.

the part about witty banter is quite true, that explains my recent attraction to a somebody... hmmm

You are Carrie
Like quirky Carrie, you're always up for a good time but that doesn't just mean a Cosmopolitan, some sexy heels and a spot of dancing. Witty banter is also a must-have ingredient. For you, looks most definitely come second place to intelligence in a man but of course, finding a man like Mr Big, who has both, is definitely a bonus.Where friendships are concerned you are one of the best friends a girl could ever ask for; sensitive, caring and trustworthy, with a writer's flair for sizing and summing up the situation.

Project Singleton?
Reading on Gretchen Rubin's The Happiness Project make me wonder if I should also make my own The Singleton Project?
Or maybe the title should be:
Life after the break up: how I get back on my feet, move on and filling my life with things I wanted to do.
interesting idea, no?

Week 28 June - 4 July
28 June:
kick-started the week with a new haircut, totally love it! I had a fringe that covered most of my forehead and eyebrows (and wrinkles), and it really suit me.
lesson learnt: never be afraid to try something new, even it might terrifies you. (I never had a fringe that covers my forehead so much, I thought it might make my already squarish face even boxier, turned out I was totally wrong about it :D)
30 June:
went Kinokuniya and grabbed 4 books because it's the last day to complete my coupon for a RM30 voucher! While spending over RM150 on books in a day can be strangely overwhelming plus putting on a narrow cut on my monthly budgets (OUCH), I'm glad to prepare ahead for weekends that are yet to come. The books:
陶晶莹 - 我爱故我在
好了眉 - 一个人,又怎样。单身也有好人生
(multiple authors) - 写真。一瞬
吴若权 - 懂男人的女人最幸福
dinner with May at night, she finally finished her exams, and her past weeks are quite eventful. She went from almost broke up with her bf, to both of them decided to tie the knot on 11.11.11. It left me wonder will she be happily ever after, and when is my romance to come?
2 july:
went durian eating with Alvin and co at Pandan Jaya. The durians are really good: XO, D13, Merah aka Ice Cream Durian and also D24. Had a whole coconut juice and mineral water but still heaty after that, LOL. Spent only Rm16 on the whole feast, which is definitely a bargain compared to our insane RM41 per head at SS2 durian stall last year.
Friday night ended with Neds pwned Brazil 2-1 in world cup, and the audience were left shocked over this result.
3 july:
spent 4 hours ++ in office and decide to reward myself with a movie: Sex and The City 2!
It was awful from reviewers' POV, only 16% on RottenTomatoes. But I truly enjoyed it coz I find seeing a little bit of Samantha, Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte in myself. Some memorable moments:
Carrie's new pad with Big: sleek and modern with a walk-in closet to die for and racks of absolutely fabulous clothes, bags and heels!
Samantha taking in all the pills and anti-aging creams to get her "groove" back, her reaction when she can't feel any lust after seeing all the hot australian rugby players at the pool, topless.
Miranda and Charlotte's girl-to-girl talk at the bar: "Ok, take a sip" :D
Charlotte's anxiety over not being a perfect mom, her hot and braless nanny, and the fact that she's more worried about losing her nanny if both of them (nanny and her husband) cheated.
Carrie's decision to tell Big that she kissed Aidan. This takes lots of guts to do it.
Spending time with your girlfriends, no matter you are single, married, working, housewife or anything else. Girl bonding is always there!
Saturday ended wonderfully with germany kicked Argentina's ass big time: 4-0. Nothing like 4 goals to shut Maradona's mouth up.
